The avian world is filled with amazing characters. Obviously, there is the majestic hawk and the keen-eyed eagle, perhaps the most respectable of the feathered friends. There is the wise owl who offers up advice to all of the animal kingdom and the penguin who manages to look prim and proper no matter the occasion. The ostrich is a real runner and the hummingbird is always hovering in our hearts.

But there is another bird that seems to captivate the collective birdwatcher every single year. With its wide wingspan, enormous beak, and odd tendency to try to gobble up everything from fire hydrants to fisher folk’s heads, the pelican is one part amazing and another part awkward. Frankly, that only makes us love them more. That’s why we’re excited to offer up this Adult Pelican costume!

Design & Details 

This aviary outfit comes right from our Made By Us design team and starts with a fleece tunic that is stuffed on the bottom to give it some extra volume. The sleeves have black feather designs to create a pair of wings and the orange pants have a pair of flippers created from sewn-on foam-backed footies! The hood has detailed eyes and a wireframe beak so you can pose yourself how you like!

The gullet is created from excess fabric, though that’s where we might try to store a snack on the run! All you’ll need next is to find a few friends to join you in the ultimate friends-of-a-feather group costume. Fetch a few more pelicans or join up with other kinds of bird costumes to make your next costumed event a flock of fun!
